Day 1 - Colombo
On arrival meet and transfer to hotel.
Overnight in Park Street Hotel, Colombo.
Day 2 - Kandy
Breakfast at hotel, leave for Pinnawela and visit the Elephant Orphanage. This Orphanage was establised to feed, nurse and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. Proceed to the city of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Thereafter visit a gem museum and witness the process of gem cutting and polishing in SriLanka. In the evening view the Kandyan cultural performance.
Overnight in Kandy House Kandy.
Day 3 - Kandy
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya the Herbarium and the Orchid House with the largest single collection of orchids in Asia.
Overnight in Kandy House, Kandy.
Day 4 - Sinharaja
After breakfast proceed to Sinharaja.
Overnight in Boulder Gardens, Ratnapura.
Day 5 - Sinharaja
Sinharaja Forest Reserve is a National Park in SriLanka. It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Sinharaja is a must see for all keen ornothologists as well as a great location for general wildlife enthusiasts. The lowland forest is considered to be one of the best bird spotting sites in SriLanka, with 22 out of SriLanka's 26 endemic birds having been sighted here, and large mixed feeding flocks providing an unusual spectacle. However it is not just birds that attract the visitors, over 60% of the country's endemic tree species are found here, along with an impressive list of butterfly, insect, amphibian and reptile species, again many are endemic. Travel by jeep within the park to a point where you can start trekking.
Overnight in Boulder Gardens, Ratnapura.
Day 6 - Beach
After breakfast transfer to your chosen beach resort.
