DAY 1 - COLOMBO
On arrival meet and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Park Street Hotel, Colombo.
DAY 2 - SIGIRIYA
Breakfast at hotel, leave for Pinnawela and visit the Elephant Orphanage. This orphanage was established to feed, nurse and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers.
Travel to Sigiriya. Stay overnight at Vil Uyana.
DAY 3 - SIGIRIYA
After breakfast climb the rock of Sigiriya built by the Patricide King Kashyapa in 5AD. Visit to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka dating back to the 11th and 12th century AD. Numerous monuments are found in this city and the "Gal Vihara" complex is one of the best among them with the fine sculptures of the recrumbent, standing and seated Buddhas.
Overnight in Vil Uyana, Sigiriya.
DAY 4 - KANDY
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel to the city of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Followed by a visit to a gem museum and witness the process of gem cutting and polishing in Sri Lanka. Evening vist to the Kandyan cultural performance.
Stay overnight in Kandy House, Kandy.
DAY 5 - KANDY
After breakfast visit the Royal Botanical gardens at Peradeniya the Herbarium and the Orchid House with the largest single collection of orchids in Asia.
Overnight in Kandy House, Kandy.
DAY 6 - BEACH
After breakfast transfer to your chosen beach resort.
